Project Description

The Gaetano Pini Orthopedic Institute is a hospital facility in the city of Milan and one of the oldest orthopedic institutes in Italy.
SEINGIM was in charge of upgrading the aeraulic systems on the 7th and 8th floors and upgrading the aeraulic system of the twelve operating rooms in monoblock A, ensuring safe service and meeting the required energy standards. A new regulation system was prepared to the various rooms to cope with health emergency conditions such as the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to decrease energy and maintenance consumption, the project included the replacement of two refrigeration units (2 MW each) and evaporative towers by adapting the entire refrigeration plant.
