Detailed electrical and instrument engineering
The Baltic Pipe project connects the Norwegian gas transport system with the Danish transport system via an underwater gas pipeline in the North Sea and connects the Danish transport system with the Polish transport systems via an underwater gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea in order to facilitate gas procurement in Poland.
Part of the Baltic Pipe Project is installing a compression station (CS) in the eastern part of Zealand near Everdrup. This compression station will increase gas pressure to transport the gas towards Poland, respectively, towards the Danish network. This compression station will increase gas pressure to transport the gas towards Poland, respectively, towards the Danish network.
The Everdrup – Zealand – Denmark compressor station is located near the village of Everdrup. Three electric motor-activated compressors must be installed (18.8 MW ISO each). Two of the compressors will be running with the third standing by.
The basic function of the Everdrup compression station is to compress the natural gas extracted from the incoming pipeline to meet the downstream transport network requirements.
