Photovoltaic power station in the metropolitan area of Tamale, Ghana

Eni needed to assess the feasibility of installing a 50MWp photovoltaic power station on an appropriate land area situated in the northern region of the Republic of Ghana, around the metropolitan area of the city of Tamale. The Feasibility Study analysed criticalities, opportunities, and the procedure necessary to start the authorisation process with the responsible Ghanaian authorities and bodies, such as GRIDCo and Electricity Company of Ghana. The resulting report compared the feasibility of the photovoltaic power station for two possible and appropriate proposed areas, mutually alternate between the two: – Site “A” – Geographic references: Nabogo / Gushie – Site “B” – Geographic references: Sankpala
